Maven repository is down

It seems the maven repository for Apache SIS is down. I would appreciate if
you could address this situation or give an alternative maven repository
address

This is at developer choice. Johann (another SIS contributor) and myself use NetBeans. Alexis (another contributor) use IntelliJ. I do not know for other developers.

But it should not matter much since the build of Apache SIS is defined by Maven pom.xml files, and all major IDE can understand those files.
The Apache SIS project has an "ide-project/NetBeans/" folder with NetBeans-specific configuration files, but this is only a convenience for users who want to open the project as a NetBeans project instead than a Maven project (the NetBeans project is faster and allows more
customization) and does not affect users of other IDE.

Hello Stéphane

http://maven.geotoolkit.org/ is back online. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I will post more news later this week on the progress toward SIS 1.0
release.

Martin,

Any update of the status of your maven repository? We are currently blocked
on a couple of build because some of the dependencies (geotk, apache sis)
cannot be found.
Is there any other alternative reliable maven repositories we could use?

Hello Stéphane

I'm working on SIS 1.0 release this week, trying to complete the "todo"
list (fix JDK 11 compatibility, etc.) so we can start the release
process. I agree that 2 years since the last release is way too long; we
reported this problem to our report to Apache board last week.

I will post progress status about 1.0 release later this week and
following weeks until the release is done.

Martin,

To build the Geoplatform registry service, I need only Apache SIS, However,
some other services use Geotk 4.0.4.
When are you planning to cut a release for Apache SIS? It has been a long
time that we have been using the snapshot and it breaks on a regular basis.
We need some stability for our daily build using release, not snapshots.
Thanks for your help.

Hello Stéphane

Indeed, the https://nexus.geomatys.com/ server is down. We are aware of
this situation; our sysadmin started a full scan of all hard drives
since Sunday morning and the scan is still in progress. I will post on
this mailing list as soon as the server is back.

For an alternative, do you need the SIS JAR files only or the Geotk
files in addition on SIS ones? If you need only the SIS JAR files, then
alternative would be the Apache nexus repository at
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/snapshots/. I see
that this repository is missing SIS snapshots at this time, but I will
look at the Jenkins server to bring them back.
