ASF Parent POM Version 17 / Maven Parent POM Version 27
Hi to all,
i would like to know if some of the dev has some issues/requirements to
be done for a new release of those pom's...
I would like start a release next week if there exist no objections
about this...

Please upgrade plugin versions
animal-sniffer-maven-plugin:1.14
The signature version in JDK 1.5 due to plugins however mvn core is 1.6.
TODO: The SUREFIRE POM should not override animal version.
maven-checkstyle-plugin:2.15
buildnumber-maven-plugin:1.3
maven-doap-plugin:1.2
I don't know who needs such low version of maven-bundle-plugin:1.0.0. Do we
need it here?
Some of our plugins are missing JIRA release notes in mvn site: Project
Reports > JIRA Report.
As a user I would like to see what a bug fix I should expect in current
plugin version.

I worked on MPOM-72, but was hit by MPIR-300
when removing version from plugins in reporting section, the MPIR plugin does
not support looking into pluginManagement...
seems like we should release MPIR with MPIR-300 fixed before releasing maven-
parent
(this does not affect ASF parent pom, since there is no reporting in there...)
