Hi everyone
I’m running Apache Superset via Docker Compose in GitHub Codespaces.
The UI is accessible at github dev.
The issue:
When I click the only “Create Dashboard”  button, Superset redirects me to localhost:8088/ dashboard/new/ instead of staying on the Codespaces domain.
What I’ve already tried:

The env vars you tried (OVERRIDE_BASE_URL, SUPERSET_WEBSERVER_DOMAINS) are not Superset settings, so they do nothing. The mechanism that matters here is Werkzeug's ProxyFix, which rewrites the request scheme and host from the X-Forwarded-* headers that the Codespaces forwarding proxy sends.

Two things to get right:

1. ENABLE_PROXY_FIX must be set in superset_config.py, not as an environment variable. Since you already mount ./superset_config.py, add one line to it:

```python
ENABLE_PROXY_FIX = True
```

2. Make the headers actually reach gunicorn. With the Codespaces proxy in front this normally just works, but you can verify quickly from outside:

```
curl -I https://<codespace-host>-8088.app.github.dev/health
```

and watch the superset container logs for the forwarded proto. If you ever move this behind your own reverse proxy instead, remember to pass X-Forwarded-Proto and X-Forwarded-Host there too.

After that, absolute redirects generated by Flask should keep the github.dev host and https scheme. If any URL still comes out as localhost:8088, it is being generated client side rather than server side, and a hard refresh to clear the cached frontend config usually clears it.

One more note: these headers only apply per deployment, so when the codespace rebuilds and the hostname changes, nothing needs updating, ProxyFix just follows whatever host the request came in on.
