[jira] [Created] (IMPALA-8531) Allow revokes to non-existent tables
Arjun Mishra created IMPALA-8531:
------------------------------------
Summary: Allow revokes to non-existent tables
Key: IMPALA-8531
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IMPALA-8531
Project: IMPALA
Issue Type: Bug
Reporter: Arjun Mishra
In sentry we have a property which allows users to drop tables/databases without dropping the associated privileges. This leads to orphan privileges however this is desired in some customer use case.
In Impala we cannot revoke sentry privileges for non-existent tables (this works with non-existent databases)
