dom3 and unicode

I've heard reports that the current dom3 implementation breaks XML that 
contains unicode. Can anyone confirm and if so, will it be fixed in 
2.7.0 (which I think will support dom3).

	Could you be more specific? In what way does it "break Unicode"?
