   @anmolnar Thanks. We do not have the C implementation for this API yet. I do feel it would be great to implement the C client too. If we have strong opinion about this, I can work on that and accommodate as part of this PR(though it might take some time to understand the C client code). Or I would appreciate if anyone familiar with the C code can offer help on this. 
   
   I would appreciate some recommendations.
