[Bug 4545] New: spamassassin-run.pod is installed by make install
http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4545
Summary: spamassassin-run.pod is installed by make install
Product: Spamassassin
Version: SVN Trunk (Latest Devel Version)
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Building & Packaging
AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
ReportedBy: duncf@debian.org
It seems that spamassassin-run.pod is installed by make install into INSTALL*LIB
(i.e. the same directory as Mail/). I've been looking at Makefile.PL, but I'm
scared if I touch anything, it will blow up.
Perhaps this is intentional, but I doubt it. It doesn't seem to make sense that
the .pod is installed, just like spamc.c shouldn't be installed. -- It's just
source for the manpage.

Michael pointed out that perldoc needs the .pod installed. I'd forgotten about
that! (I always think of .pod as source for manpages, rather than input for
perldoc...)
Closing INVALID

Marking as 3.1.0 -- frustrates packaging. :-)
