[jira] [Created] (DTACLOUD-139) Wrong dir/file permissions
Wrong dir/file permissions
--------------------------
Key: DTACLOUD-139
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DTACLOUD-139
Project: DeltaCloud
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Server
Environment: deltacloud-core-0.4.1-8.fc16.noarch
Reporter: Jan Provaznik
Assignee: David Lutterkort
deltacloud-core server creates /var/tmp/deltacloud-mock-nobody/ dir with wrong permissions:
# ls -ld /var/tmp/deltacloud-mock-nobody/
drwxrwxrwx. 9 nobody nobody 4096 Feb 6 10:43 /var/tmp/deltacloud-mock-nobody/
Subdirs and files have wrong perms too.
DC should set some reasonable umask (or pass perms mode as param to mkdir_p method and when creating files).

Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
Assignee: Michal Fojtik (was: David Lutterkort)
Hi Jan,
I tried to create the mock fixtures recently using the rake task and I got this:
drwxrwxr-x. 9 mfojtik mfojtik 4.0K May 9 13:42 .
is this umask acceptable?

Using deltacloud commit version: 7bc7e8a431a7e78cfeb6306abb023f551bc65ddd:
>> ls -ld deltacloud-mock-root
drwxr-xr-x. 10 root root 4096 May 14 10:42 deltacloud-mock-root
>> ls -ld inst6.yml
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 482 May 14 10:42 inst6.yml
Should 0750 not be rwxr-x--- ? Michal, please advise here ... thanks

Michal Fojtik commented on DTACLOUD-139:
----------------------------------------
The umask sounds OK for me. The directory should have 0750 now:
FileUtils::mkdir_p(@storage_root, :mode => 0750)
data = Dir[File::join(File::dirname(__FILE__), "data", "*")]
