Release a new beta version for IoTDB

Hi

Now IoTDB does not provide an executable version for users to download, how can we create a new release on Github? Do we need to create an issue or jira?

Hi,

This may also help [1], note that githuib is not the primary location of releases and they nee to be place in the Apache dist/incubator area.

Apache releases source code but you can make a convenience binary at the same time. A release needs to be approved by the PPMC (and IPMC), usually by voting, I suggest you take a look and read [1]. If you have any questions just ask.
