[jira] [Created] (KAFKA-12166) Add a metric for reporting idle
connections closed
Pere Urbon-Bayes created KAFKA-12166:
----------------------------------------
Summary: Add a metric for reporting idle connections closed
Key: KAFKA-12166
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-12166
Project: Kafka
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: core, metrics
Affects Versions: 2.6.1, 2.7.0, 2.5.1
Reporter: Pere Urbon-Bayes
Assignee: Pere Urbon-Bayes
The Kafka Broker has a logic for closing connections when they have been idle for a configurable amount of time.
Currently the only way the broker report this is via the TRACE level logs, however, it would amazing to have a new metric to track it via the monitoring tack of choice.
