Netscape-Proxy/2.5 and HTTP/1.1

Anyone out there sad enough to have access to Netscape-Proxy/2.5
to test its handling of HTTP/1.1 responses ?

The folks at lanl are using Apache 1.2 and a proxy server in Israel
which looks to be running 'Netscape-Proxy/2.5' doesn't appear to
cache the responses (it never gets a "304" to later requests). A mirror
of their service running Apache/1.1.1 doesn't seem to have the problem.

I haven't decided if this (w.r.t a *Netscape* proxy) is a
problem or a feature :-)  (i.e. Netscape should know better and
should fix it)
