[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-14664) Add Plugin Example for Docker

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-14664?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17185071#comment-17185071 ]

Jan Høydahl commented on SOLR-14664:
------------------------------------

Any idea of what that would look like? I mean, other than the obvious that /filestore is mounted into a host volume, Solr is started with package mgmt enabled, and you then execute the commands to add packages as usual?

Or are you thinking about how to embed packages into derivative images and then what commands you need to activate those?

> With the release of 8.6.0 it seems to me that we should be adding an example of adding a plugin to the [docker-solr repo|[https://github.com/docker-solr/docker-solr]].
>
> We could easily add the YASA plugin as an example to the 8.6.0 directory when it is created.
