Trying to make a confirmation page after login.

I am tring to implement a confirmation page after every successfull login to
Jetspeed.
I want the user to have to agree to the terms of my site before continuing.
I have successfully been able to do this modifying the home.vm file. The
main problem I keep encountering is that every other action performed by the
page causes the confirmation page to be shown again.
I only want this to happen right after login, have the user hit agree and
not be presented with this page until they login again.
Any idea how best I could implement this feature?

I tried setting extending the JLoginClass and setting a message. The I
tested for that message in the home.vm file.
The problem with this is it causes the agreement page to show up everytime
you perform an action.

Newbee at java and Jetspeed.

please help.
Thanks
Mark

password encryption on edit ...

Posted by anand <an...@eself.com>.
Hello,
In my TR.P i choose to encrypt the password field
I am using mysql and things work fine. Now i had posted
some topics on updating a users password by accessing the
Turbine API, values are rewritten once the user is logged off. From
the mail listing i found out using EditAccount.vm works fine
It indeed worked fine but when i change a users password
it is not encrypting as mentioned in the TR.P.
The problem could be in UpdateAccount.java file where
we are not encrypting ... could this be looked upon or has it
been taken care in 1.3a3.

Thanks,
Anand

Mark,
1) Disable the login on the navigation bar, property
topnav.user_login.enable in JR.p
(<jetspeed-home>/WEB-INF/conf/JetspeedResources.properites)

2) Add you "clicking Login means you accept the following terms...." to
the login screen <jetspeed-home>/WEB-INF/templates/vm/screens/html/login.vm

Not sure about it but you could just add a check box in the user creation
page, couldn't you ? I can't see why you need to have the user to agree to
your terms at each login.
