[Apache Bloodhound] #602: Product

#602: Product
-------------------------+--------------------
 Reporter: ogaerick | Owner: nobody

Component: dashboard | Version:
 Keywords: |

It would be much nicer to be able to select the product in the ticket form
rather than to have to navigate to the appropriate product section first

Comment (by rjollos):

#680 is related - if we continue to use the breadcrumb to switch product
contexts, then the product-relative scope needs to be maintained. In that
scenario, we would also need to make sure that fields are forwarded when
 the product is changed.

Comment (by jdreimann):

 Replying to [comment:4 rjollos]:
 > The //new ticket// form will create a ticket for the product in the
current scope. The scope can be changed using the select on the
breadcrumb, but this is inconvenient, and we should make it easier to
change the product when creating a new ticket.

I agree this inconvenient, and more importantly non-obvious. Users would
reasonably expect to see a Product field in the //new ticket// form just
as they encounter it in the //quick ticket// form.

Comment (by rjollos):

I assume that you mean //new ticket// form. The quick create ticket form
has a //product// field by default, but you may have configured `[ticket]
 quick_create_fields` and removed it.

The //new ticket// form will create a ticket for the product in the
current scope. The scope can be changed using the select on the
breadcrumb, but this is inconvenient, and we should make it easier to
change the product when creating a new ticket.

Comment (by astaric):

r1506038 adds currently active product as a hidden field to the newticket
form. When selection of product is implemented, r1506038 should probably
 be reverted.
