[I] [Bug]: trimming non breakable spaces (hop)

PhilipCubix opened a new issue, #9045:
URL: https://github.com/apache/hop/issues/9045

   ### Apache Hop version?

   2.19

   ### Java version?

   21.0.12.1

   ### Operating system

   Windows

   ### What happened?

   Hi,

I had created the following issue #7229 [Bug]: JSONinput trim doesn't remove non breakable space (NBSP).

Today I encountered the exact same problem, even though this bug shoudl have been resolved nowadays.
It appears that Java doesn't treat non breakable spaces as whitespace characters, and so it doesn't trim them.

Maybe non breakable spaces could be added to the trimming function?

   ### Issue Priority

   Priority: 3

   ### Issue Component

   Component: Transforms

First workaround using a Formula step with the Substitute function failed: input text too long 🙁

Now using a Replace in String step with regex \x{00A0}.

Luckily, all the data I'm using passes a single pipeline: so by adding 1 transform after a REST GET and before writing to file, I can apply this workaround rather efficiently.

So a workaround is possible, but it would have been very handy to have NBSPs being trimmed automatically. This seems worth a discussion in my opinion.
