Writing custom application using nutch

Hi everyone,

I am working on a project which has custom implementation of nutch. It uses
spring framework but uses nutch internally. But the problem is the search
works fine when we provide a keyword even when there is no matches. But the
application throws a null pointer exception if I provide nothing inside the
search box.
