Lucene and Punjabi

Hello,

I'm have a requirement to search English, Punjabi and Chinese text.
English and Chinese work perfect.

But I can't get Punjabi to work. I've search for "lucene punjabi" on
Google, there appears to be very little information on this topic. In Luke,
when I paste the punjabi text it tranforms it into squares.
Does anybody know if Lucene supports punjabi? And if so, how to get it
working?
