[jira] [Created] (LOGGING-164) RandomStringUtils' random method
infinite loop
Arul Nedumaran created LOGGING-164:
--------------------------------------
Summary: RandomStringUtils' random method infinite loop
Key: LOGGING-164
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOGGING-164
Project: Commons Logging
Issue Type: Bug
Reporter: Arul Nedumaran
The following code goes into an infinite loop.
RandomStringUtils.random(1, 0, 0, false, true, new char[] { 'a' })
I know it doesn't make sense to pass letters=false and then an array, but a bug in the caller will fall into this trap.
