Summary: [VFS]After deleting a file from a FTP server, a LIST is
                    invoked for the file's directory
           Product: Commons
           Version: Nightly Builds
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.3
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: VFS
        AssignedTo: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: nseekircher@hbv.de

It seems that whenever a file is deleted from an FTP server, directly after the
DELE command a LIST is send to the server.
Because I use VFS to move files from an FTP directory which may contain hundreds
or even thousands files, this LIST strongly increases server load and slows down
the whole process.

I'm using the nightly build from 31th of August.
