Apache 2 not available on AIX?

I notice that the binaries of Apache 2 for AIX is not available at the
Apache website. Does it mean Apache 2 will not compile on this platform
yet?

One further note regarding Apache2 on AIX: Yes, it does build just fine
(I'm running it on a non-production box under AIX 5L ML02). _However_, you
must build it using the GNU make utility. It will die a horrible death if
you try with the make utility that ships with AIX. You can get the GNU
version in RPM format off the Linux Toolbox CD (or directly off the IBM/AIX
web site).

Just means that the person who built 1.3.26 hasn't had time to build
2.0. We are all volunteers and we do what we want to do when we have
time.

But it is just strange that the 1.3.26 binaries for AIX are up-to-date!

Apache 2.0 will build just fine on AIX. The fact that there are no
binaries just means that nobody has gotten around to building any yet.

This would be a non-authorative answer since I don't have an AIX box to play
with, but I would presume that Apache2 should compile without out issues. You
should download the source tarball and compile to make sure.

Patch From 2.0.3.5 - 2.0.3.9??

Posted by Alex Togstad <sn...@3dretreat.com>.
Howdy;

I'm pretty sure there was a thread awhile back about someone that wanted to
upgrade Apache from their previous version up to 2.0.3.9. Well stupid me I
forgot to save the link and now I would like up upgrade. Does anyone have
the link to patch from 2.0.3.5 to 2.0.3.9? Is it better to just install the
patch, or uninstall and then reinstall with the current build?

I have looked around the Apache site, but only found patches if it was
already installed.

In most cases I would rather uninstall the product, and then reinstall and
reboot.

I'm on Win2k Pro By the way. . .

Thank you!
