## Description:
 - The Ranger project is a framework to enable, monitor and manage comprehensive data security across the Hadoop platform.

## Issues:
 - there are no issues requiring board attention at this time

## Activity:
 - Community has release Apache Ranger 1.0 and working on improve/fix bugs on the releases both 1.0 and 0.7.x
 - Jira: +110(added) -96(resolved) over last 3 months
 - Git (Source): 58 commits over last 3 months
 - SVN (ranger site updates): 15 commits over last 3 months

## Health report:
 - Released Apache Ranger 1.0 with authorization engine to work with Apache Hadoop 3.0+ ecosystem
 - Working on some of the open bugs (branch 0.7 and 1.0 releases) along with new features for next release

## PMC changes:
 - Currently 18 PMC members.
 - No new PMC members added in the last 3 months
 - Last PMC addition was Abhay Kulkarni on Fri Dec 15 2017

## Committer base changes:
 - Currently 26 committers.
 - No new committers added in the last 3 months
 - Last committer addition was Zsombor Gegesy at Sat Dec 09 2017

## Releases:
 - Apache Ranger 1.0.0 was released on Sun Mar 18 2018
