[jira] [Resolved] (IMPALA-3262) Investigate Codegen Performance

Tim Armstrong resolved IMPALA-3262.
-----------------------------------
    Resolution: Duplicate

I think this is more-or-less redundant with IMPALA-3262. The bulk of codegen time is spent in optimization and to improve that we need to evaluate individual passes for cost vs benefit

> It has been observed that codegen for even relatively simple queries would take ~600ms. This is quite a significant overhead for fast queries. Investigate how to reduce the codegen time.
