[users@httpd] more dumb questions

If I don't have a www.whatever.com can I still use name based virtual
hosting somehow? I'd really like to have 2 servers on one IP...

Try using services such as:
www.dns4me.com
www.dns2go.com
www.no-ip.org
and the list is long.

The problem is not your http service, but you need a URL for each domain on
the internet so DNS services can point clients to your web sites.
