Ah yes, I see that CALCITE-2623 added support for BigQuery in {{SqlDialectFactoryImpl.simple}} but not in {{SqlDialectFactoryImpl.create}}.
Just curious, what JDBC driver are you using for BigQuery? I know there are several, and I wonder they they all return the same value for {{databaseProductName}}.
