[jira] Created: (CHUKWA-468) Shutdown Chukwa creates core.[pid] files

Shutdown Chukwa creates core.[pid] files
----------------------------------------

                 Key: CHUKWA-468
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CHUKWA-468
             Project: Hadoop Chukwa
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: scripts
    Affects Versions: 0.3.0, 0.1.2, 0.2.0, 0.4.0
Environment: Redhat EL 5.1, Java 1.6
            Reporter: Eric Yang
            Assignee: Eric Yang
         Attachments: CHUKWA-468.patch

Chukwa scripts are using kill -TERM for shutdown chukwa processes. This creates a lot of unwanted core.[pid] file in the CHUKWA_HOME directory. Ideally, we should use kill -1 to shutdown Chukwa processes.
