When an instance is coming up and loading from snapshot, better logging is needed so an operator knows how long until completion. Also, when syncing with the leader, better logging is needed to know how long until success.

Also, a 4LTR word for getting this status would be nice. Then Exhibitor could better monitor initialization state.

Agree 100%. I see this occasionally and I'd like it if users could self identify this issue. It would be good to indicate the amount of snapshot read before bailing out, along with the expected max (if that's available, if not the user can look at the snapshot file to determine, perhaps on another host...)
