Leaflet with pictures - note some text behind pictures it was NOT saved like
that try entering line feeds
I have imported picture into text file and saved as a '.doc' type file -
however when I want to re-edit it it appears ok but I cannot put in line feeds
the text is locked in place. If I subequently sselect all text and put it into
another document the line feeds I have put in are reproduced correctly

Your document is malformed.
To put pictures and text side-by-side, use a table without border.
