3.0.4 comes with a ton of features from 2.1.x which is considered to be
most stable. Datastax Enterprise is using 2.1.13.

Version 2.1.x and 2.2.x will be only supported till Nov 2016. In my opinion
you would be better off opting for 3.0.4 version.
