[jira] Commented: (CONTINUUM-2080) Multiple addresses for Notifier or create Notifiers Groups

    [ http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/CONTINUUM-2080?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=165647#action_165647 ]

Wendy Smoak commented on CONTINUUM-2080:
----------------------------------------

(The usual way this is done is by sending notifications to a mailing list, to which multiple interested recipients subscribe.)

The notifier is defined by the Maven pom schema, which defines an 'address' field. Interestingly... the 'address' field is deprecated:
http://maven.apache.org/ref/2.0.8/maven-model/maven.html#class_notifier

Does Continuum support the new 'configuration' element already?

Do we need a new notifier type, that supports multiple addresses in 'configuration'?

> Allow multiple e-mails in a Notifier. Would be some emails separated by ',' o ';'. Continuum will send a mail to each email address of the list.
> Another option would to allow groups of notifiers. In this way the group would be formed by a set of emails, which would share the events an in the future shre the email manager [CONTINUUM-1910].
