Request Context Object, or Portal Service at the Session level

Is it possible to have a Request Context Object, or a Portal service
that is on the session level?   As in each user logged into the portal
gets their own RCO/Portal Service object that can be used to share data
across multiple portlet applications?   

 

It looks like default RCO/PS are above the session level so they would
be shared globally between users. Is this correct?
