Evan Weaver invited me to throw some ideas here.

Please, take a look at logos.png to see different explorations. Which one do you prefer? 

Also, site.png represents how can we extend the visual language to a new Cassandra website.

This is just a draft, new iterations coming soon. Comments are welcome!
