Redesign for Struts Showcase

What you all think about a redesign of the Struts2 Showcase for next Version?
The current Showcase looks a little bit outdated.

I've made a simple prototype with Twitter Bootstrap.

http://www.jgeppert.com/struts2-showcase-bootstrap/index.html

and

http://www.jgeppert.com/struts2-showcase-bootstrap/action-tag.html

Any Thoughts or Suggestions?

Take a look at configuration..menu items for tags such as If , Iterator and Date seem to parrot the action menu item action-index.html
Personally I like the current 'all on one page' style so you dont have to bounce to different pages to see backing-bean, jsp, explanation, OGNL example and rendered-view
what happened to the dojo-plugin?
Wunderbar!

It's pretty, I'll give you that ;-)

A slight change to the default styling might be welcome (just to be
'not another bootstrap site'). But yeah, I'm all for a more 'modern'
approach for anything related to Struts 2.

If we like to run all Showcases we need a full JEE Stack for the Struts2 CDI
Showcase.
Maybe TomEE or Geronimo is better?

You should check with infra@ directly for a definitive answer, but
typically we'd need to deal with anything Java- or app-related,
including restarting after a crash, diagnosing issues, addressing
security issues, container upgrades, etc.

And that last part is crucial. Before we head down that path, we need
to ensure that we have at least 2 PMC members who are willing to
maintain such a thing over the long term. Infra may provide the
environment, but only if we're prepared to manage it over its
lifetime.

We used to have the examples running in a virtual machine (a Solaris
'zone' IIRC.) Infra provided the bare 'server' but it was the PMC's
responsibility to manage it. If there are enough volunteers to keep
it up and running you might want to check into that again.

Yes a showcase app server would be nice. Currently the showcase is only
available as war file.
Maybe we should ask the infra team. They could provide a apps.apache.org
server based on a apache jee server. Where different Apache Projects
(Struts/Wicket/Tapestry/...) can run there showcases.

@Philip
Some Struts spices to the design would be great this can also be used for
the new Struts Site Theme build by Christian Grobmeier

@Martin
The Dojo Plugin is deprecated, so we need to use plain jquery/javascript for
the new Showcase

I think it's awesome; I like it.

I've also wondered if we should add some additional small, complete apps
(particularly a Spring one) and try to highlight some compelling
functionality, or ways S2 can be twisted to suit a particular purpose.

Linking showcase/demo apps to the wiki would also be pretty cool, or deploy
the apps somewhere and display them on an inner frame on a wiki page that
documents it, or... I love being able to navigate in a tightly-integrated
way, I'm just not sure how doable it is since we don't have complete
infrastructural control.

But the demo looks really, really good.
