     I, personally, am against merging new features without documentation. Especially because of how we do releases. For example, suppose this PR gets cherry-picked into a release. Now, if the docs get pulled in as well, they will be wrong because PR 3682 wasn't also cherry-picked. And that's if someone remembers to cherry-pick the docs at all.
