Possible Installation defect when selecting Apache integration in WinXP installer

Hello all,
I have searched the FAQ, Subversion docs, and Issue Tracker for this
issue and found nothing, so please accept my apologies if this has
already been reported and I missed it somehow. I am running Windows XP
(thought I have seen this problem on Windows 2000 Server also) and had
Apache 2.0.52 installed as a service. I ran the Subversion 1.1.1
installer for Windows and selected the option to have the installer
configure the Apache integration for me. This option says that it will
require an Apache stop/restart. I clicked ok and the installer copied
its files but rather than merely stop and restart the service, it
unregistered the service (no longer visible from Service Control
Manager) and did not re-register it. Any help you could offer with
this issue is greatly appreciated. Again, please accept my apologies
if this has already been addressed and thank you for a wonderful
product.

Sincerely,
Christian Romney

Fixed in the upcoming 1.1.2.

I'll look at it.

Thanks,

I noticed the same and forgot to report this as a bug. The Subversion
windows installer stops and unregisters the apache service, adds the svn
modules to the apache, and then fails to register the service again.

Why does the installer unregsiuters the service? Stopping is usually
good enough to reconfigure a service, isn't it?

Norbert
