   Actually we have some conditions on the`importlib-metadata` ([here](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blame/0fd42ff015be02d1a6a6c2e1a080f8267194b3a5/setup.cfg#L109-L109)) but only for python <3.9 (`; python_version < "3.9"`), which means that you are not on python 3.10.
   
   Can you run `python --version` after activating the new venv?
