ApacheCon accepted talks

Hello all

The "Geospatial track: Apache SIS for Earth observation and beyond" talk
proposal has been accepted for the Apache Big Data Europe, November
14-16 in Seville (Spain). Do we have any new about other geospatial
talks for that conference?

    Martin

(Thomas - good to hear your talk was accepted.)

Now we have at least two talks for a spatial session.

Others who get your geo talk accepted - let us know on this list.

George

Dear George,

FYI: my talk "Geospatial track: Crowd learning for indoor navigation” was accepted to Apache: Big Data Europe.

g-mail actually marked the notification email as SPAM, so perhaps advise other submitters that this might have happened to them too.

best,
Thomas

Rich,

Its good news that there may be enough talks to make a geospatial session.

I was unable to determine the total number of geospatial related proposals using the review interface.
Interesting approach for reviews where the UI shows two abstracts side-by-side and the reviewer is to favor one more than the other.
I am interested in the results of that review process, but it did not allow any synoptic view of the submissions.

It looks like there are other Geospatial sessions tentatively accepted. However, until we get confirmation from speakers, we're not ready to publish the schedule.

Hello Daniel

Thanks for the tip. Indeed, I found the notification in my spams folder.
But my email was more about notifications sent to other speakers; I was
wondering if we have enough talks for a track at the ApacheCon.

    Regards,

        Martin

All speaker notifications should have gone out last night for Big Data.
Please be sure to check spam folders for them also :)

Some notifications may not go out until the 30th if you submitted to
both conferences.

With regards,
Daniel.
