Summary: Failed to start apache service for 2.0.61
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.0.61
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P2
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: tony@marston-home.demon.co.uk

I have a working installation of Apache 2.0.59 and PHP 4.4.7, and I am trying
to update to Apache 2.0.61. It installed OK according to the install log, but
the service will not start due to some sort of error. The only information I
can find is in the Dr Watson log which shows "Exception number: c0000005
(access violation)"

Very strange. I downloaded a fresh copy, installed it, and it worked! I did
nothing this time that I had not done before - previously it failed to start
the service after installation, now it does not. Go figure!

http://httpd.apache.org/dev/debugging.html gives info on getting a crash dump.

FYI - it's not a php support forum.
