It is now... update what you have from CVS, or wait until the 1.0.1 release
tonight.

I would like to see that happen. I find it really odd that Turbine
uses the Configuration class from the Velocity JAR as a core class.
It is currently impossible to run Turbine without a Velocity JAR
present. I am also loath to just duplicate the code. The code in
Configuration is very good--a lot of projects could reap the benefit
of it.

Heh. didn't we just go through this? :)
There was some talk of going the other way, taking the Turbine/Velocity
Configuration class and taking that over to Jakarta Commons.

I have been staring at Avalon's configuration stuff.
Nice abstractions, and it could also be implemented
with properties (already is with XML).
Does anyone here know the interfaces at
org.apache.avalon.configuration?
Aren't these reusable here in the future?
Have fun,
