I encountered an issue CALCITE-980
<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CALCITE-980>. Please take a look.

Thanks

If you’re watching the case you’ll have noticed that Vladimir has contributed a fix. It isn’t committed yet, but looks good to me bar a few code style issues. (Thanks Vladimir!)

Li Yang, can you see whether Vladimir’s patch fixes your issue?

I knew Julian is a busy man. So bumped here again to see if anyone may
help. :-)

Appreciate the great work you all have done!

I’m OK with people emailing this list with a question and saying “and here’s the JIRA case I filed”. That issue was filed a week ago, so I think this was more of a “bump” [1]. I’m OK with bumps too (as long as they are not accompanied by “Help! Help!” subject lines).

For this particular issue, I saw the JIRA case logged, agreed that it was a bug, but did not consider it serious enough to drop everything and start work on it. I’d love to fix it in the next release, but I’m not sure I’ll have time to work on it myself.

(Yes, all of the above was communicated by the fact that I didn’t make a comment on the JIRA case.)

Would anyone like to give this JIRA case a try? If so, assign it to yourself and mark it “in progress”.

Julian

Hi Li,

While we always appreciate you filing issues on JIRA for Calcite, it
often isn't necessary to send a message telling us that you did so.

We have another mailing list (issues@calcite.apache.org) set up which
gets a message for any action on JIRA. As such, we received notice that
you created the issue long before you sent this message :)

- Josh
