Could DFS be the backend storage for mail server like postfix?

Hi folks,

    Our team is doing some prior analysis about the feasiblity of enabling
postfix to run over DFS.
    DFS is designed to optimize the operation of single write and multi
read, but this kind of operation is not the common case for mail servers. I
heard Gmail is realized on the basis of GFS, is that true? More important,
can you give us some suggestions?
