[~svimal2106] by RENAME COLUMN, you are referring to ALTER TABLE CHANGE COLUMN NAME , correct? Yes in that case, we need to retain tags. In case of REPLACE COLUMNs, since we are replacing the columns which would result in dropping columns/adding new columns) , I dont think we should worry about retaining tags unless the column names are the same(i.e they havent been dropped)
