[jira] [Resolved] (THRIFT-4309) All Python files should be compatible with Python 3
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-4309?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]
Sylwester Lachiewicz resolved THRIFT-4309.
------------------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
The Python library is Python-3-only: [lib/py/setup.py|https://github.com/apache/thrift/blob/master/lib/py/setup.py] declares Python 3 and no Python-2 remnants remain (no print statements, no 2/3 compat shims). The PR #1339 approach was superseded by the Python 3 migration (THRIFT-5537 tracks the remaining EOL-version drops). Resolving as Fixed.

> Python 3 is now 8 years old and is the current and future of the language. Examples and other Python files in this project should be compatible with Python 3 and where possible also with Python 2.
