While I'm seeing some lag in larger repos, I can't verify any timeouts that you are seeing.  And I was unable to find any of the build in Jenkins that were timing out, which were mentioned in Hipchat.  If you could provide any more information, ie are any other users on the team besides [~smarthi] seeing the problem?  Could someone else perform the release if it is a problem on his side?
