Andrew Grieve resolved CB-8373.
-------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
Fixed with cordova-lib@4.2.1-dev and cordova-android@4.0.0-dev
> android platform update loses all <framework type="gradleReference"/> entries
> -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: CB-8373
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-8373
> Project: Apache Cordova
> Issue Type: Bug
> Reporter: Andrew Grieve
> Assignee: Andrew Grieve
> Priority: Minor
>
> Blocker for Android 4.0.
> 1. Create a plugin with a gradleReference framework
> 2. add it to your project
> 3. run update script on the project
> Notice the reference is gone.
> As a solution, I'm going to have plugman put these references into project.properties instead of editing the build.gradle file. Rationale:
> * project.properties is already used by plugman for sublibrary projects
> * This will make it so that build.gradle is untouched by plugman
