Deleting or Archiving Savings Products

Hello everyone,
So I've been doing a bit of testing of Fineract on a local server. Created several Recurent Deposit products (and accompanying accounts). However a question that I've been struggling with is how to delete (or better still "close") a Recurrent Deposit Product. If a Financial Institution no longer offers a Savings/Recurrent Deposit product shouldnt there be a way to delete or archive the product? How do any of you with live production systems handle this?

Warm regards
Airsay

Hello Saranash,
Thank you for your email. I am aware that for Loan Products can have a
start and end date. Savings Products however don't have this feature. Is
this something that has been previously discussed here? I have a situation
were the client could retire some savings products for new ones. Inability
to archive the retired products opens an opportunity for possible fraud or
errors

You can set a date "end date" or you can mark a loan product as inactive to
achieve the following.

Dear Airsay,

This issue is a silent one but in my view, Apart from Loan Products, all
the other products do not have a start date and end date that can be used
to enable or disable them
