Tomcat startup script.

How would I create a tomcat startup script that is the equivalent of adding
numerous <jsp:useBean scope="application" ...  statements in my
application's initial .jsp page.

I have been told this is possible and would be interested as currently the
first time the application is used after restarting, the user must wait for
a load of Database queries to populate memory before being able to proceed.
