### What happened
I still have some issues with generated sources from annotation processors or openapi-generator-maven-plugin. I am pretty sure that everything is configured correctly and sometimes it works. But sometimes it is completely broken and I am not able to fix it. Generated source folders are correctly visible in projects but if I try to open them but there are empty.
I checked netbeans log and I see that there were indexed:

So it scanned correctly 42 new files but it is not loaded and editor does not see these classes:
but the class is there:
Sometimes it helps to delete their target folder and then delete Netbeans cache or build a project from the command line. But I have some other projects that cannot be fixed anymore but they worked fine in the past and nothing regarding generating sources was not changed.

I tried to run Netbeans with an empty userdir and the problem is still there so it is not connected to my configuration. I checked logs with working and without working generated sources and found if there is this line in my log:

then it does not work and if this line is missing then it works. So I would say the problem is here in this condition (no `compilePath` or `sourcePath`?):

But how is it possible that sometimes it works and sometimes it is totally broken?

The openapi generator does not generate bindings, it generates a complete project structure. Modify the `output` elements in your configurations to point to different directories and check the output. The two generations overlay each other and thus you'll get unpredictable behavior. What is more NetBeans assumes, that the source roots are directly in generated-sources not somewhere, more deeply nested.
I think I tested the generator for the "maven integration" usecase and had a solution for this, I'll check my notes on monday.

- Reduce openapi generated code to only server (I fail to see why you would need both parts in the same project).
- Disable api documentation generation (this only messes up the output directory)
- Disable model documentation generation (this only messes up the output directory)
- Move output of the generation to the right base directory (`<project.build.directory>/generated-sources/<per-client-name>`)
- Ensure sources are put into the root of the output folder

I am pretty sure that it is configured correctly and it works sometimes as you can see on one of picture that it is correctly visible. I know that openapi-generator-maven-plugin generates weird structure but it is configured that sources are in `target/generated-sources/openapi/com/example`. I would agree it is problem with openapi-generator-maven-plugin but other annotation procesors do not work too e.g. mapstruct see `target/generated-sources/annotations`. So if it is the openapi-generator-maven-plugin then it breaks the whole support for annotation processors.
