I have noticed that *ExternalSensor,* when using _reschedule_ mode, the state is set to *failed* on every retry rescheduled. This causes thousands of emails to be sent on every reschedule even having the email on failure flag set to true and the email on retry set to false.

I was expecting to receive just one email when the sensor fails, but not on every time the operator fails and is rescheduled.

 

Is this the expected behaviour?
