[jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-12766) Determine SSL for nodetool
based on cassandra-env.sh

Simon Fontana Oscarsson commented on CASSANDRA-12766:
-----------------------------------------------------
Is there any news on CASSANDRA-11695? Perhaps we could discuss a different approach for using ssl without specifying it as argument. Would it be possible to create a separate file for nodetool configuration? (Like we have for cqlsh).
Also, a bit unrelated to this issue, how do i assign myself to an issue?

> Instead of specifying SSL with the --ssl flag we could enable SSL always when com.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=true in cassandra-env.sh. A --no-ssl flag could be useful when you don't want ssl enabled.
