How to reuse FOP driver

Hi, 

I'm planing to use FOP for a big number of documents. Unfortunately the
creation and configuration of the fop driver takes relatively long. Is there
a way to reuse one and the same driver for all documents, being processed,
or is it really neccessary to create one driver for each document?
